About Little Wild Places
Where patience meets wonder — capturing the beauty that lives in the spaces between the leaves.
The Artist
A Love Letter to the Garden
Little Wild Places began the way most love stories do — quietly, unexpectedly, and in the early morning light. Armed with a macro lens and a cup of coffee, I started photographing the visitors to my backyard garden: the bumblebees tumbling through lavender, the swallowtail butterflies pausing on coneflowers, the tiny spiders spinning silk between the tomato cages.
What I found through that lens changed the way I see the world. Every garden, every meadow, every patch of wildflowers is a universe of its own — a small wild place teeming with life, color, and quiet drama. My work is an invitation to look closer, to slow down, and to fall in love with the nature that exists just outside your door.
Each photograph is made with care and patience, printed on archival-quality fine art paper, and meant to bring a piece of that wild, gentle beauty into your home.

Macro nature photography is as much about stillness as it is about seeing. Here is how each image comes to life.
Patient Eye
Great macro photography cannot be rushed. I spend hours in the garden, waiting for the perfect moment — a butterfly settling on a bloom, a dewdrop catching the light, a bee mid-flight.
Natural Light
I work exclusively with natural light — the soft glow of early morning, the warm haze of golden hour, the diffused overcast of a gentle rain. No artificial lighting.
Authentic Moments
Nothing is staged. Every subject is wild and free — photographed in its natural habitat, behaving naturally. These are real moments of beauty, not posed specimens.
